1. Can I contact the tradesman and suppliers you hold accounts with to check you out? Yes each of our panel builders have agreed to allow us or our clients to contact their trades and suppliers to ensure the builders are paying their accounts on time and in full. Whilst the BSA does a good job managing the industry, we believe you can never perform too much due diligence when it comes to building a new home. 2. Is your contract a true fixed price contract? Yes each of our builders abide by the absolute concept of a FIXED price contract. What ever the contract includes will be delivered regardless of the the many variables that can take place once a job is under way. If you decide to make alterations to your contract, of course this will be costed, according to standard NBS pricing, but within the provisions of the contract, the original inclusions and specifications are fixed in price and will not change. 3. Can I use my own plan or make changes to one of the builder’s standard plans without the cost of redrawing? Yes at NBS, we welcome your input and you can choose from one of our standard plans or we can work with yours. 4. Do I have guaranteed commencement and completion dates? Yes we know how frustrating it can be to watch days and weeks go by whilst nothing happens on site. Our builders are all completely focused on not only getting to site as soon as possible but completing your job. We award prizes to our best and fastest builders at the end of the year. We find that by having a panel of up to 5 builders we keep a competitive edge between our builders and they are all working hard to secure the next job from our clients. 5. Will you pay my rent/mortgage if you go over these completion dates? Subject to the rates outlined in your contract, if our builders do not complete your property within the contracted time frame, which is shorter than any builder we know of, they agree to pay you up to $350 per week 6. Do I have to pay you a deposit before you will prepare a contract or quote? In simple terms No. we work with you until you’re completely ready to enter into a contract with our builders. In urgent cases such as finance deadlines, we can produce a contract with full specifications and inclusions within 48 hours, without the need to pay a deposit..

Display Villages and the Builder's Magic Mile!   It usually starts with a few weekends spent visiting a couple of new home display villages - we call the "Builders Magic Mile" and most people soon realise that this has simply ended with you both being even more confused than you were before you started. That shouldn't happen!!  But it does. Every new Display Home Salesperson wants to be your best friend and add you to their database, and get to contract you as soon as possible...you know the story. When you do get two or more quotes the simply task of understanding what is and isn't included and then comparing them can take weeks and weeks...you almost need to be forensic auditor to get to the bottom line of the decision.  Even the cost and image alone aren't a guaranteed way to ensure you choose the correct builder. At National Building Solutions we have spent years working with these issues and have felt the stress and pain the normal approach can generate.  So we have built a new system.   In a nutshell, we act as building brokers, very similar to mortgage brokers.  To use this analogy, a mortgage broker deals directly with a wide range of lenders all offering a range of products.  Some tailored to specific sectors of the market, some more expensive then others, some with better level of service and so on.  The mortgage broker continually monitors these factors and updates themselves regularly so when they meet with a client, they measure the client’s needs and can expertly interpret these to match the client to lender.  They add even more value by managing the communication between the lender and the client from application through to settlement and beyond.   Simple really.   National Building Solutions offer the same concept but we do it in the building industry.  We provide solutions to your home and building needs.
